The Beast's Sauce & Spice Market

Chef Kenny Gilbert wanted a cohesive look for his new gourmet sauce and spice line. My goal was to create a brand that was personalized to the chef while appealing to a mass market. I also had to make sure the brand would tie into the chef’s newly formed restaurant group, illustrating a sense of symmetry for The Beast's line. Chef Gilbert has a motivational mantra in his motto, “No poodles allowed.” He teaches his staff to be confident and fearless in the kitchen – like a Rottweiler. With that philosophy in mind, I had my hook – an anthropomorphic Rottweiler in a confident stance with the tag line “Cook Like The Big Dogs.”
